Kompas: A Local AI Browser (ChatGPT Atlas Alternative)
A local AI browser as an alternative to ChatGPT Atlas: it can browse and even shop for you, but your data never leaves the computer.
About the project
An AI browser in the style of ChatGPT Atlas, except it runs entirely on your own computer.
It can browse sites for you, analyze pages, and get things done, like ordering groceries on Rohlík, all without sending any data to the cloud.
It started as an experiment: can I build a prototype in a day that competes with one of the most innovative products out there? I could, and it fixed that product's main weakness, the loss of privacy.
It's slower (a Rohlík order takes 8 minutes vs. 2 with ChatGPT), but everything stays with me.
