Hywgames: Multiplayer Games for Conferences
Realtime multiplayer Snake on a big conference LED screen: scan a QR, control your snake from your phone, last one standing wins.
About the project
A multiplayer Snake tournament on one big LED screen at Hack Your Way 2026. A viewer scans a QR code, enters a name, and controls their snake from a mobile D-pad. Rounds cycle on their own: lobby, countdown, game, podium.
One Next.js app in three roles: Director runs what's on the LED, Player is the phone, Audience watches. Proof that even a realtime multiplayer game can be vibe coded.
What you get
- It gets the whole room in, played from your own phone.
- Energy and fun on stage without complicated hardware.
- Rounds run on their own, nobody has to manage them.
- A realtime multiplayer game built with vibe coding.
How it works (under the hood)
- Next.js 16 + PartyKit, realtime over Durable Objects.
- Three roles: Director (LED), Player (phone), Audience.
- Sign-up via QR, automatic round cycle.
